Brochure
Beijing Xuannan Cultural Museum
Beijing Xuannan Cultural Museum, built in the Changchun Temple from the Ming Dynasty, is an epitome of the history and culture of the city’s southern area. The layout of this brochure follows the temporal sequence of walking through the museum, leading readers to open the “gate” on the front page to enter the exhibition halls. The bright brick red colour used throughout the design symbolises some of the traditional graphics. The brochure has been created using a variety of paper types and printing processes. For instance, the handwritten books by then imprisoned revolutionist Li Dazhao and the collections of ancient rare books are printed on rice paper, which not only has a sense of history, but also enriches the visual and tactile experience of the reader.
