Parador BODEN

Zurück Download

BODEN is a magazine published by Parador, a manufacturer of high-quality flooring from Münsterland, Germany. With 148 pages in oversize format, this issue is committed to the company’s vision of turning every home into the most beautiful home in the world, and in over five features sheds light on locations and their residents all over Europe. The focus is invariably on stories relating to flooring, while so-called BIG SCANs – three-page macrophotos of the location floors – dramatically present the company’s core competences. The magazine is only slightly based on the publisher’s corporate design; instead, it deliberately differentiates itself from the image of Parador product media in its font and colour selection as well as imagery. High-contrast reportage and interior photographs as well as an unobtrusive typeface highlight these homes with sophistication and reflect the high demands of the manufacturer on flooring in terms of quality, naturalness and authenticity. The modern colour concept in neon green and complementary illustrations underscore the young and progressive side of Parador.

Begründung der Jury

The BODEN magazine impresses with the high quality of its design and realisation. The clean and clearly arranged layout with a wide variety of photo series showing elegant interiors not only invite readers to leaf through the extravagant portraits and topics, it is also surprising because this magazine project was initiated by a manufacturer of floorings.
