Norwegian Landscapes

The Norwegian National Police Directorate and the National Criminal Investigation Service put the design of new documents out to tender in February 2014. The overall purpose was to increase the security of Norwegian passports, ID cards and travel documents. By using illustrations of single parts of a wide Norwegian panorama, the new design of the documents’ inner pages shows the contrasts in landscape and climate, as well as scenes of important historic events. The concept is currently being adjusted and refined on the basis of technical and safety considerations.
