Popov, the Clown

Produced to celebrate the 60th anniversary of McDonald’s, this commercial revives the “forever young” feeling of the fast food brand. It does so by featuring no less a person than Oleg Popov, arguably the most famous clown in the world. The clip shows sequences of his shows and pays tribute to his eventful career with fade-ins of trophies and newspaper clippings. In the final scene, Popov meets clown Ronald McDonald, a scene in which Popov embodies, in his impish way, the company’s motto “When you make people happy, you never get old”.
