Markus Schneider Winery

Zurück Download

The expansion of the winery Markus Schneider consists of a 100-metre long building complex divided into two slender units that are inspired in their architectural appearance by the century-old structure of vines. The concrete construction with planned gaps sections the complex into zones to create striking vistas and spatial experiences. It features a cassette ceiling reminiscent of the vaults of historic barrel cellars. Due to a full-length basement in direct contact with the ground, the temperature of the wine storehouse remains at a constant 12 degrees centigrade.
