User Interface Design
Tangible Car Infotainment System
The Tangible Car Infotainment System (TCIS) was developed to rethink automotive interiors. It merges a haptically pleasing user element with the advantage of a touchscreen. The tangible item, which also serves as the car key, is used by moving it around on a digital surface. Depending on where it is set on the surface, users can control various settings of the system. Turning the item, for example, allows the setting of the desired temperature inside the car or the volume of the music.
