[Interactive Multiplayer Facade Mapping Game]
ZKM – Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie, Karlsruhe
Dominik Rinnhofer, Andreas Siefert
The interactive game was part of the 300th anniversary festivities of the city of Karlsruhe and appeared as a temporary megapixel projection on the facade of Karlsruhe Palace. The level design was created using 3D laser scans of the facade. In the game, two teams consisting of five people from the audience competed against each other with the aim of conquering a golden pyramid projected onto the centre of the Palace. Smartphones were used as game controllers. Dynamic visual effects on the facade increased the entertainment value for the audience.
