von Buhl Bone Dry

The winery Reichsrat von Buhl in Germany’s wine region Pfalz is a certified organic business that has been family-owned for more than 150 years. These supporters of sustainable viticulture create particularly dry wines with a maximum residual sugar content between 0 and 4 grams. In order to highlight this unique style, the label design contains original imagery. Inspired by the expression “bone dry”, a skull was integrated into the label. This is executed in an appealing way by having vines, vine leaves and grapes shape the contours of the skull. Matching each grape variety, the label has been designed in two different colour and motif versions that show the different flavours of each grape varietal.
