Staatstheater Mainz

The posters for the Staatstheater Mainz (Mainz State Theatre) seek to attract attention, make the multi-genre theatre visible to the community and reflect its ingenuity. The challenge of this task was to embrace a given production’s particular flair and focus. Using a unique artistic imagery, the posters appealingly combine illustrative and photographic techniques as well as typography. Only the star logo of the theatre, which has been discreetly placed in one corner, reveals the serial character of the posters.
