Fendt 936 Vario tractor
aesthetic performance on the road and field
The jarring sound of agricultural vehicles has almost entirely disappeared from our streets. Due to a trend of ever larger fields for agriculture, the tractors also tend to turn into ever more powerful high-tech tools that have to work large areas of land and cover long distances. Against this backdrop, the design of the Fendt 936 Vario is particularly interesting, since it lends this kind of tractor a light appearance and an emotional language of form, and is thus reminiscent of a modern passenger car. This language of form is largely the result of the tractor's generous and well-balanced proportions. The bonnet tapers strongly towards the cab and slants downwards in the front, evoking associations of power and speed in the observer. For a smooth transition from the road to the field, the 360HP tractor is equipped with a single-wheel suspension front axle, a sophisticated "reactive steering system" as well as a dual-circuit four-wheel braking system. Thus, the tractor acquires both the driving safety and driving qualities of a lorry. The high-tech tool appearance of this tractor is continued in the interior. The driver's cabin, which is standard-equipped with air-conditioning, provides high comfort with good all-round visibility, and due to the pneumatic three-point cab suspension and its integrated level control the driver hardly feels the movements caused by rough and uneven ground any more. All tractor control elements are within easy reach, ergonomically arranged on a multifunction armrest. A seat with active suspension, which can be swivelled 20 degrees to the left and right, integrated with the armrest, is available as an option the reversing driver stand variant even allows the entire driver stand to be turned 180 degrees clockwise. Each driver can thus comfortably set up his own ideal workplace the machine turns into a mobile living space.
