LIFESTYLE® V30 Home Entertainment System
Cathedrals of sound
The 15th-century Venetian composer Giovanni Gabrieli was a great master at using the acoustic conditions of concert spaces, writing compositions that were to be performed in one hall of a specific cathedral or a church. In our modern times, the design of the Lifestyle V30 home entertainment system from Bose opens new possibilities for experiencing sound at home and enables “symbiotic” relationships with the architecture of a room. Via a US patented technology, the environment is analysed and the system is adapted to the respective acoustic conditions in a fully automatic process. This entertainment system combines its innovative technology with a well thought-out principle of formal reduction: when users connect their high-resolution display, their games console and other audio/video components to the clearly labelled Media Console, the Lifestyle V30 system immediately takes over the control of all basic functions of these devices. The only thing remaining visible then within the room is the separately arranged Display Panel that shows the user the individual system settings. The technology and the form of the system automatically monitor all connected devices – the devices themselves can be placed anywhere out of direct sight. Given the possibility of formal reduction, which is taken up consistently in the tiny look of the Jewel Cube Speaker Arrays, a very clear and functional aesthetics is created. Another interesting aspect of this design concept is to be found in the significance of the remote control. Conceived as an interactive entertainment interface, it allows users not only to activate the entire system with the push of one button, but also to operate the most important functions of all other devices such as TV, Blu-ray player, cable box or satellite receiver.
