NCO Potatoe
The communication and design firm New Cat Orange from Germany has developed three fonts, which have been created using the potato printing technique. For each character, number and symbol a stamp was cut out of a real potato and the prints were then digitised. The Potatoe Deluxe Font Box contains promotional materials as well as a CD with all the fonts. The packaging design highlights the fonts’ handmade character. The corners of the boxes have been reinforced by hand with sheet metal brackets and are limited to 111 copies, marked in consecutive numbers using the original, analogue potato stamps.
