Onassis Cultural Centre Educational Illustrations

This series of illustrations was created for the programme book of the Onassis Cultural Centre in Athens, accompanying all educational events of the 2013–2014 season. Using a specially developed grid, the illustrations are composed of recurring geometric shapes so that a sense of coherence is maintained among the types of events. The common visual vocabulary is characterised by cheerful colours, which appear against a white paper background. The clear but rough shapes and contours bring to mind drawings made with crayons or other materials that children would use, thus eliciting a humorous and perplexing response from the visitor.
