Book
Revolution/Evolution – Two Decades and Four Hundred Designers Later
In 1992, the American University of Beirut (AUB) launched a four-year Graphic Design programme, offered by the Department of Architecture and housed within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture; it came to exist in response to the high demand for such a programme in Lebanon and the wider region. “Revolution/Evolution – Two Decades and Four Hundred Designers Later” showcases twenty years of pioneering work created by several dozens of the programme’s four hundred graduates. The book with its black and white contrasting colours combines Arabian with Western styles to emphasise the different creative influences of the graduates. Proceeds of the book go towards starting a scholarship fund for the programme.
