The main idea of TEDxTAIPEI 2013, an independently organised TED event, is Flip, which comprises six themes: breaking through, living together, learning beyond, taking off, passing on and carrying on, which are presented by using abstract geometric icons. The transitions from one icon to the next are flowing and the vivid colours strengthen the visual impression. By replacing the “i” with an exclamation mark, the font is redesigned to express the courage to face the future. The animation does not have any sound, achieving its effect solely through its imagery.
