SurpriseKaraoke – Sing It! Reflections by the Song

These illustrations visualise the deeper meaning of eight Chinese nursery rhymes. The images were used for several applications, such as printed matter, digital versions and audiotapes. Thanks to the combination of stylised figures, text and music, a multifaceted overall concept has been created. It visualises traditional gender roles, cited in the rhymes, as well as underlying assumptions about the environment or work habits, thus inviting to critically rethink antiquated views.
