Imagine a place where winter lasts for nine months, and where minus fifty degrees centigrade, hurricanes and wind speeds of 20 metres per second are part of everyday life. Telling the story of Norilsk, the world’s northernmost major city, which is home to 170,000 people, this film intends to convey how living, working and surviving in a place like this is an act of bravery. Unique shots, 3D panoramas and videos from a first-person narrator’s perspective, a wide range of documentary plots and more than 50 real-life characters are combined with an interactive interface, featuring plenty of options to explore.
