On the brink of extinction, humanity flips the switch on artificial intelligence. AI solves every conceivable problem, even mortality. The animated film “Sonova” examines the issue of what happens when mankind reaches digital immortality, and it calls for reflection on what in fact distinguishes a human being. Everyday items such as record players or skateboards arouse emotions. The science fiction story is told in a voice-over, supported by background noises or music corresponding to the respective situation.
