Filigree system

In modern architecture, facade systems play a central role in many respects. The FWS 60 CV (Concealed Vent) facade system by Schüco lends itself as a formally and functionally sophisticated solution. It impresses with a filigree design that makes it integrate almost invisibly into any house facade. With a face width of just 60 mm, the opening units and fixed lights are indistinguishable from the outside. Also striking is that the window vents, when closed, are discernible on the inside only by the window handle and a slender line of shadow on the otherwise flush surface. The system achieves impressive facade transparency by incorporating floor-to-ceiling side-hung vents with unit heights of up to 3.20 metres. Statically advanced units as well as top lights and bottom lights that can be placed anywhere provide additional design freedom for architects. Moreover, this facade system is also characterised by high thermal insulation and a high degree of comfort in everyday life. It comes equipped with an automatic ventilation control, for example for night-time cooling, and can be implemented with mechatronically controllable vents, which are available even as a bottom-hung vent model without a window handle. Having emerged from an inspired design concept, the facade system showcases a fascinating clarity and delivers on both comfort and creative freedom.
